On Friday, January 8, The Saint Stephen of Hungary School Foundation put on the first ever Sketch Club fundraiser – an evening full of comedy and music from our very own talented community.
The event began with comedians Joan Weisblatt and Doug Karpf followed by musical talent including Justin Patterson (P ’24) as the show’s M.C., cabaret by Vicky Dussich (P ’25) featuring Stephen Michael Thornton on guitar, music by David Patrick Kelly (P ’22) featuring Brandon Ellis on cello and Erica Swindell on violin, as well as Out of Office, our second grade teacher Mr. Dan Mullen’s a cappella group, which includes Gattlin Miller, Becca Hare, Heather Foye, Natalie Budnyk, Nicole Holm, Mark Lee, and Gabriel Denham.
With the generosity from our community who came and supported the event, we raised over $14,500! Big thanks to our Sketch Club committee who made this night possible in the first place – Ed Butler, Nancy Olecki, Kate Waters, Eddie Chang, and Charles Devigne. An additional thank you to the Saint Stephen of Hungary School Foundation Board for their support. Needless to say we hope to see this as a continued tradition in years to come!
